for Boone, Fayette, Kanawha & Putnam CountiesINSPIRE was initiated to address the needs of adolescents 11-18 years of age who are at risk of being removed from the home due to substance abuse, legal charges, or CPS involvement. This intensive program is structured in quarterly phases and designed to work systemically with all key persons in the client’s care group (family, community, educational setting, legal system, etc).
West Virginia Commission for National and Community Service Focus Groups Report
Since April 2004, the West Virginia Commission for National and Community Service has developed an online volunteer recruitment process to help West Virginians who want to volunteer connect with organizations that need volunteers. In the spring of 2008, with support from the Claude Worthington Benedum Foundation, the Commission conducted eight focus groups to explore the state of volunteerism in the Mountain State.

The Internal Revenue Service has launched a new Web-based version of its popular Exempt Organizations Workshop covering tax compliance issues confronted by small and mid-sized tax exempt organizations.
The free online workshop - Stay Exempt - Tax Basics for 501(c)(3)s - consists of five interactive modules on tax compliance topics for exempt organizations:

As you may know DAWG recently moved into a building in Charleston – 1605 Washington Street West. Prior to this they have been operating out of the Executive Director's house. Due to the move into a larger space and the addition of a VISTA and office volunteers, many items are needed. Please look at the list to see if there is anything you can donate.
